Hillside School will host its first ever Track and Field Jamboree this Saturday, May 9, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Several area schools including Fenn, Nashoba Valley, Fessenden, Rectory and Roxbury Latin schools will be participating in this milestone event, which will take place on the recently dedicated Krasnow Track at Hillside.

The track features a six-lane, all-weather professional grade surface which is primarily utilized by Hillside’s track and field and cross country teams.

Among the meet competitions scheduled for Saturday are the 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter runs, the 4 x 100 relay, the long jump, shot put and individual pentathlon. Awards will be presented in several categories including overall and school performances; first, second and third place; individual ribbons and sportsmanship.

“With the opening of our new track this year, we are now fortunate enough to host track events,” stated Hillside School Director of Athletics Mike Foster. “For this reason, we are especially excited – and grateful – to present this jamboree at Hillside.”
