Mission
Hillside School is dedicated to helping young adolescent boys realize full personal and intellectual development in their formative years. Our students benefit from a comprehensive range of academic and social skills while building confidence and maturity.
Program highlights include a rigorous scholastic curriculum, competitive sports which emphasize teamwork and fair play, academic and social skills tutorials, a working farm focusing on environmental education, and wonderful cultural opportunities in nearby Boston and Providence. Our student teacher ratio of 6:1 ensures that each student benefits from a caring, focused classroom environment.
Which boys are best suited to a Hillside education? Boys of average to above-average intelligence seeking a supportive, structured school, as well as those who have underachieved in other school settings, do well at Hillside. Following graduation, many of our students matriculate at leading independent secondary boarding schools, parochial and public high schools.
